The purpose of this position is to direct and manage the Cloud Command Centre Operations team for du’s Customer Cloud and Smart City Operation’s Service Delivery Platform (SDP). The job holder needs to ensure that services are provided according to the agreed contract, SLA, and quality.

The job holder needs to manage a team of experts in Cloud, Kubernetes, Network, Storage, Oracle and other infrastructure components. Hence he needs to have a technical background as well as team management and leadership skills.

This position includes working with Enterprise customer in optimizing, and monitoring requirements to gain operational efficiencies in order to drive the organization to a highly customer satisfaction.

This work is managerial in nature and needs to coordinate with other senior managers and below and may require discussions, negotiations up to Senior Director levels.

Knowledge and skills:

  • Language proficiency in the following languages - English
  • Must have hands-on experience in VMware infrastructure
  • Must have knowledge in different technologies such as Microsoft, SQL Server, Oracle, OpenStack, NSX, Kubernetes platform…
  • Must have knowledge on using the following tools: Manage Engine, HP SM or similar ticketing tools
  • Must be able to work effectively in a 24 x 7 x 365 environment
  • Monitoring all day to day activities
  • Plan and perform on-job training whenever required
  • Experience of dealing with customers, specialists and service providers
  • Good conflict management, analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and organizational skills
  • Be customer service-minded and focus on solution providing
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly
  • Provide comprehensive solutions
  • Be self-motivated and take initiative
  • Ability to respond positively to working in a pressured environment.

Minimum Education:

  • Master Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • International Certifications (MCSE / MCP /CCNP certification preferred)

Minimum Experience 

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in telecom environment or IT Infrastructure (strong cloud knowledge)
  • Minimum 5 years in Virtualization Platform and Public Clouds
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in managing a team
  • Solid hands-on experience maintaining IT systems and Cloud environment
  • Solid experience maintaining and applying security policies and procedures
  • Solid experience in supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting servers
